Access Control

Description:
The TIPQA Access Control module is used to control user access to all the other modules within TIPQA.  This module provides System Administrators the tools to define and maintain individual user access to the screens within the system based on their need to function within those screens. Access Control is also used to perform and control general administration procedures for system security and to establish Global System Parameters needed by all other modules.

This training will provide an in-depth look into Menu Item Access, the portion of the module used to set up end user access, administrative features, Security Group definition and usage, Approval Group definition and application, Business Unit settings, Message of the Day and more.

Receiving Inspection – Inspector Training

Description:
The TIPQA Receiving Inspection Module (RI) automates the inspection processing of received materials through manufacturing and/or engineering operations. RI prompts receiving inspectors to enter inspection information entirely on-line.

This training will cover a basic, sample inspection process for both Receiving Inspection and a Source Inspection to demonstrate the simplicity of the module.  Examples for failing an inspection will follow with a lesson on how to create a Nonconformance from a failed inspection.

Nonconformance End User Training

Description:
The TIPQA  Nonconformance Module (NC) automates the identification and processing of nonconforming material in manufacturing or engineering operations. NC documents the history of nonconforming material fully on-line, taking the place of multi-part forms mailed throughout the company. NC eliminates lost paperwork, improves accuracy by validating data entry against master records, and speeds the processing of nonconforming material.

This training will cover a basic, sample nonconformance process flow to demonstrate the simplicity of the module.  Various examples of different types of nonconformances will be demonstrated including those with and without Task planning, generating a child nonconformance.

Corrective Action for Authors

Description:
The TIPQA Corrective Action Module (CA) automates a formal, closed loop corrective action system for resolving quality problems encountered in the course of normal operations. CA documents the history of corrective actions from request through follow-up and closure. This on-line system eliminates the possibility of lost paperwork, improves accuracy by validating data entry against master records, and speeds the processing of corrective actions.

Many companies want the ability for anyone to be able to write a Corrective Action.  This training is intended for those people.  It could be a Supplier Quality Engineers writing a CA against a supplier, an internal auditor writing one launched from the Audit module following a failed audit or to document external audit findings, Environmental Health & Safety documenting an unsafe condition, documenting evacuation drills, Management review of a process or a floor worker writing an Internal CA to document a procedural issue.

This course will show how a typical CA flows cover how to write, respond to and process a Corrective Action in TIPQA. Reassigning, answering Task Plans, Reassigning and successfully closing a CA.  Different types of example CAs will be demonstrated.

In-Process Inspection for Inspectors

Description:This training will cover a basic, sample inspection process for the In-Process Inspector to demonstrate the simplicity of the module.  Examples for failing an inspection will follow with a lesson on how to create a Nonconformance from a failed inspection.  Traceable elements handling (serial number, date code, lot code, heat code) as well as an overview of the criteria screens and how to fill them out will all be covered.

Audit Management for Auditors

Description: This course is intended for an auditor who would perform audits.  It will cover the Audit Process, how to start, carry out and complete an audit, how to generate a Corrective Action based on audit results, Audit Scheduling, and the various reports available in the Audit module.

Serialized Test & Inspection / Configuration Management

Description: This training will show the participant how to be able to perform quick, effective inspections, perform Configuration Management, S/N “Where Used,” S/N Assignment/Scrap process, Reviewing Device History records.

Gage & Tool for Tool Room Managers

Description: This course is an introduction to the Gage & Tool module.  In it you will learn how to Create Tool records, Tool location tracking, Preventive Maintenance, On-Line calibration Steps and Instructions, Contract Transfer, Consumable Tool & Reorder Point tracking, Where used Traceability from a Gage number to the inspections where measurements are recorded, and various reports available to the user.

Receiving Inspection – Administrative Training

Description: This training focuses on the RI Parameter Setup necessary to configure and operate the module, the types of criteria available and their use, Common, Specific, and Default. Creating/modifying, reviewing, and releasing inspection criteria, associating released criteria with parts, Part Groups, Clause IDs, and Commodity Codes and a review of the reports available from the module.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Receiving Inspection module or completion of the Receiving Inspection for Inspectors course.

Target Audience:
TIPQA RI Module administrators, Inspection Supervisors

Nonconformance for Quality Engineers & Administrators

Description:  This training is a deeper dive into the NC module.  Setting up NC Types and how those settings affect the NC flow, available reports, User defined routings, task planning and task plan templates, along with Relations, what they do and how they work will be covered in this training session.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Nonconformance module or completion of the Nonconformance for End Users course.

Corrective Action for  Administrators

Description: This course takes a deep dive into the Corrective Action module.  It covers CA Type setup which defines how a Corrective Action type will flow, what is required information, who can answer it, which modules have the ability to launch it, setting up task plans, escalation operation and email notification, code segregation by document type, and the reporting options.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Corrective Action module or completion of the Corrective Action for Authors course.

In-Process Inspection for Quality Engineers & Administrators

Description: This hour-long training covers the concept of relations within IP, IP Type Parameter setup and how those parameters affect the flow of the IP process, sampling, skip lot, specific and common criteria generation and management, creating user defined lists and user defined routings.

Previous experience with the In-Process Inspection Module or completion of the In-Process Inspection for Inspectors course.

Audit Management for Administrators

Description: This course goes into the details behind the Audit Module.  It covers defining an Audit Type, Automatic Rescheduling of an audit,  Weighted Scores Factor, Updating the Supplier Rating Module automatically, reporting capabilities, and configuring to link with the Corrective Action Module.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Audit Module or completion of the Audit Management for Authors course.

Supplier Rating for Administrators

Description:  This training will cover what the typical Supplier Quality Engineer will need to know to best utilize the TIPQA Supplier Rating Module.  Covered topics include:  Supplier Master, Processing Monthly Results, Monthly Supplier Letters, module reports, Supplier Survey results, Supplier Recovery, Process Capabilities, and Part number certifications.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Supplier Rating Module or completion of the Supplier Rating for Engineers course.

Supplier Quality Engineers,  Buyers,  SQE Supervisors, TIPQA Administrators

Serialized Test & Inspection for Administrators

Description:  This class is intended for the Administrator of the SN module.  The participant will be able to navigate and configure SN Parameters setup, Internal/Customer S/N relationship maintenance, Routing maintenance, Test Result Entry (integrated with IP, NC, and SFE), Product Genealogy (Traceable Configuration), and Device Approval.

Prerequisites:
Previous experience with the Serialized Test & Inspection Module or completion of the Serialized Test & Inspection – Configuration Management course.

Gage & Tool for Tool Room Managers

Managing Quality Test Criteria

Description: 

The In-Process Inspection Module (IP) module in TIPQA helps to automate the inspection process during production.  This class will focus on setting up Test Criteria in the IP Module and cover how to design criteria, mandate collection of data, and deliver instructions to the inspector so you get the data needed for proper documentation of your testing requirements.

WIP Inspection Management

Description:
This class takes a broader look at the WIP process within TIPQA.  Learn how IP and NC are used in this process, how Training Management can be used with IP to manage proper training, and how it can be used to restrict untrained or personnel with expired training from performing measurement tasks within the WIP Process.  CA can also be brought to bear when needed to document issues to ensure a complete, closed-loop WIP inspection process.

Understanding the CAPA Process

Description:

The Corrective Action, Preventative Action process can be complex, but it doesn’t have to be.  This training class will cover how various CAPA processes can be implemented within the TIPQA in the Corrective Action Module.
